As the medical cannabis industry is maturing, technical industry practice standards are gaining importance and will be a crucial aspect for the further evolution of medical cannabis to a mainstream healthcare industry. Initiatives from forward-looking stakeholders and ACCM's Next Frontier Alliance are at the forefront of making industry standards in medical cannabis a reality, which is to the benefit of the entire industry and the general community at large.
Creating a program and platform for third-party interactions and payment “industry standard”, we refer to established technical specifications, programs, and processes that a wide range of medical cannabis dispensaries and pharmacies adhere voluntarily to with the goal of increasing reliability, intercompatibility, and efficiency across the retail distribution chain of the industry. These types of industry standards are defined by and used in the traditional pharma industry every day. For us as an industry to be able to facilitate significant increases in participation by these types of groups it becomes necessary for us to be able to function as they do today.
The main purpose for ACCM setting and facilitating such industry standards is to make different medical cannabis pharmacies and dispensaries compatible with each other from the standpoint of group introduction and interaction and to ensure that third-party organizations and their customers/patients can seamlessly work with our industry in its present reality on a State by State basis, within current and legal functionality and be prepared and ready for anticipated changes on a national level with changing of federal prohibitions.
This standardized program, processes, and platform will drive industry innovation, facilitate cost reductions, and enable a variety of cost-effective, simple-to-engage, holistic approaches to facilitate the significant wave of medical cannabis patients coming to the industry through these group relationships.
Next Frontier's has a simple two-fold mission:
Medical Cannabis Industry Alignment
Align our entire industry to be in a position to help significant waves of new patients coming to medical cannabis through these new relationships.
Third-Party, Aligned Organizations and Insurance Industry Engagement
Facilitate the massive participation and onboarding of organizations that want their members/customers/patients to participate in and benefit from medical cannabis today and in the future.
We have set the standard, created the programs and processes, and brought together world-class partners to execute. Today we are in full execution mode.
If you are a member of either group, please reach out today, so we can work with you to build an incredible program.
